Ranger Steve |
We started the day with a ranger guided walk around part of the Rock - The Mala Walk.
The walk went for about 2 hours and we learnt the story of the Mala - a small wallaby and a lot about aboriginal beliefs, customs & culture and the importance of Uluru to the local Anangu people.
Geological phenomenon - looks like a wave close up. |
Heading back to the car after the walk. |
Happy vegemite! (That's a vegemite scroll). |
The joy of getting to the next lookout or just happy to be running away from his brother - choose your own story. |
The symmetry of nature - everything is so ordered. |
Nature the Romantic. |
No rain in 6 months and the waterhole still has water. |
The Brain. |
A dingo stole Dec's shoe...... |
Home sweet Home. |
After a quick pit stop back at camp to stock the car fridge and do a few camp jobs we went into the resort to find Declan a pair of thongs or Crocs, luckily one of the shops had some thongs. Was going to be difficult for Dec to hop everywhere on one Croc otherwise.
Then it was back out to watch the sunset, this time without a cloud in the sky.
The boys were straight on the roof for some parachute man. |
As you can see it was a bit windy and we had to call it quits. |
While the boys and I set up for Happy Hour...... |
Scotty Irwin was on the roof (again) setting up for time lapse on the Go Pro. |
Scenic Set Up Shot. |
Great sunset shot with moon!
