Day 8 - Uluru

Ranger Steve 

Today was all about Uluru.

We started the day with a ranger guided walk around part of the Rock - The Mala Walk.

The walk went for about 2 hours and we learnt the story of the Mala - a small wallaby and a lot about aboriginal beliefs, customs & culture and the importance of Uluru to the local Anangu people.

Home sweet Home.

After a quick pit stop back at camp to stock the car fridge and do a few camp jobs we went into the resort to find Declan a pair of thongs or Crocs, luckily one of the shops had some thongs.  Was going to be difficult for Dec to hop everywhere on one Croc otherwise.

Then it was back out to watch the sunset, this time without a cloud in the sky.

The boys were straight on the roof for some parachute man.

As you can see it was a bit windy and we had to call it quits.

While the boys and I set up for Happy Hour......

Scotty Irwin was on the roof (again) setting up for time lapse on the Go Pro.
